本属は本種のみを含む。本種は伊豆半島、神奈川県及び栃木県から記録されている。イネ科の葉に見られるが生態は不明。本属は南アフリカ及び東アジアとオーストラリアからそれぞれ１種が知られるEdissa属に似るが、触角が細長く8節であること及び付節が2節であることで識別できる。

This monotypic genus has been recorded from Izu-peninsula, Kanagawa and Tochigi Prefectures in the Kanto-region. It occurs on grasses in the forest floor but its biology is unknown. This genus is similar to Edissa, which contains two species distributed in South Africa and East Asia to Australia. It can be distinguished from the latter genus by the 8-segmented slender antenna and 2-segmented tarsus.
